Synopsis: It's the year 2059, and the earth is dying. the government has been sending algae to Mars to produce oxygen to make the planet inhabitable. After the algae mysteriously disappears, a team is sent to Mars to find out why. After a crash, the team has to survive limited supplies and the navigational robot that went haywire and is out to search and destroy.
My thoughts: Talk about a case of bad timing. The piece of garbage that was Mission to Mars left a bad taste in audiences' mouths, hurting the box office potential of this above average sci-fi thriller. More like Terminator than Aliens, but it's enjoyable with good chemistry between Kilmer and Moss.
