Bring It On
Starring: Kirsten Dunst, Gabrielle Union, Eliza Dushku, and Jesse Bradford
Directed by Peyton Reed
Synopsis: Two rival cheerleading teams prepare for a cheerleading competition.
My thoughts: While this appears to be another brain-dead teen movie, it has a lot to offer. It lacks depth in plot, but makes up for it by taking on issues that many high school kids face today, such as diversity, peer pressure, acceptance, and leadership skills. The scriptwriter was able to keep a fast-paced, witty dialog without throwing in pop-culture references, which also was very nice.
All-in-all, this is mainly a popcorn summer movie, but it's worth the price of admission. If not for the entertainment value, then for the eye candy.
Score: 9 out of 10
